Cannabis education resources
Cannabis Education Resources has been developed to provide educators and administrators access to evidence-informed information on substance use (specifically cannabis) to help students develop the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions to support their health and well-being.
The Cannabis Education Resources includes a Resource Database and a Q&A Column.
The Resource Database is a compilation of evidence-based resources that provides educators and administrators the tools to assist students in developing their knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and reduce harms associated with cannabis use.
Clearing the Air about Cannabis: a Q&A Column has been created to continue the conversation and provide a space to ask questions on topics related to cannabis that concern you, your classroom, and your school community.
Ophea is currently in the process of developing additional cannabis related education supports to address the gaps identified in our recent needs assessment and environmental scan. The phased release will take place throughout the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years.
Cannabis Education Resources are also available in French as Ressources d’éducation sur le cannabis.
Ophea’s Cannabis Education Resources are funded by Health Canada.
We would like to thank everyone who had previously signed up to receive cannabis updates. Moving forward, please visit the Cannabis Education Resource page for updates or, sign up for eConnection, Ophea’s monthly e-newsletter.
